Careers Week 2024

Side by Side proudly held its first ever Careers Week in March, aligning with National Careers Week. It was a dynamic program that allowed students to try their hand at various professions through role-play and hands on activities. Highlights included managing a café, learning from our PE teacher Lloyd about his career journey, and student-led physical activities.

Following this engaging week, we welcomed a Careers Advisor who delivered an interactive presentation on choosing a career based on personal interests and strengths, using visual aids and a Powerpoint to enhance understanding. This session was particularly beneficial, providing our students with practical advice on navigating their future career paths.

The feedback from these events has been overwhelmingly positive, marking a significant step forward in our commitment to preparing students for adulthood. We are excited by the enthusiasm and insights gained during Careers Week and the advisor's visit, and we look forward to incorporating this learning into our future educational initiatives.
