Side by Side School recently hosted a Parents’ Information Evening for families of pupils aged 11+, focusing on future decision-making for young people with SEN.

We were pleased to welcome Mr Jonathan Chody from There’s a Way, who shared expert guidance on areas including mental capacity, guardianship, power of attorney, and how parents can remain involved in decisions relating to medical care and financial matters as their children reach adulthood.

The session provided parents with valuable information to support informed decision-making and forward planning. We look forward to continuing to work closely with our students and their families to provide guidance and support as they plan for the future.
