Chanukah Fundraising Appeal!

Chanukah is a popular time for young boys to collect tzedaka for their moised, with many making daily door-to-door collections carrying tzedaka boxes. Side by Side's Special children would undoubtedly love to do the same for their school, but are unable to do so due to their challenges. 

This year Side by Side's ladies guild launched an innovative appeal: a brief letter shaped like a classic tzedaka box, addressed personaaly to the women in Stamford Hill with the children explaining that while they could not collect donations personally, they did not want their school to miss out on this valuable opportunity. Reccpients were requested to kindly donate £10 by dropping the attached envelope into the representative on their street.

The initiative received a very warm response from the community, with an impressive number of envelopes being returned.
