The Royal Coronation at Side by Side

Excitement was in the air at Side by Side as students learnt about King Charles III’s coronation. In the lead up to this special weekend, the classes engaged in a range of activities to celebrate this historic event, including writing decorative letters to the King, cooking special cupcakes, and making crowns.

Teachers planned these activities as hands-on, sensory and exciting learning experiences, resulting in an enthusiastic response from students.

To further celebrate this royal occasion ahead of the event, the school hosted a garden party focusing on British values, with the children thoroughly enjoying the party and eager to learn more about the history of King Charles III, his coronation, and the British monarchy.
